David Wayne Doerscher, 66, of rural Bloomfield, Iowa, passed away on June 3, 2024, at his home.  He was born on May 16, 1958, in Davenport to Kenneth Wayne and Judith Kay Lepper Doerscher.  He graduated from North Scott High School in Eldridge in 1976.  On May 25, 1985, he married Cindy Hanna in Bloomfield.  The couple had one daughter, Allison, and enjoyed 27 wonderful years of marriage before Cindy passed away on Nov. 1, 2012. more

Robert E. Braunschweig, age 88, son of Rev. Otto and Lisette Braunschweig, was born in Aurelia, Iowa, on Sept. 22, 1935. Bob peacefully passed away from heart failure on April 5, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minn., surrounded by his loving family. He knew it was his time “to go home” and was ready because of his strong faith in God. In his usual dry wit, he voiced one regret — that he would miss the Iowa girls’ Final Four basketball game, which his family watched that night in his honor. more
