Ed White Elementary School was briefly evacuated Tuesday morning. A 911 call was placed at approximately 9:15 a.m. because of a smell in the building. Emergency responders located the cause, a malfunctioning ballast in a light fixture in the fifth-grade hallway. The ballast was replaced, and students and staff were allowed to return to the building at approximately 9:30 a.m. more
