Obituary: Robert Wichtoski

Robert (Bob) Wichtoski, 74, of Green Bay, Wis., formerly of Long Grove and Davenport, passed away at his home in Green Bay on July 30, 2023. As his wishes, he was cremated. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park later in April.

Bob was born in Milwaukee to Richard and Jean Wichtoski. He worked at various companies as a production supervisor: International Harvester, Sears Manufacturing, Wilson Food, Case New Holland. He was an excellent taxidermist, owning Pioneer Taxidermy Studio for 25 years.

Bob enjoyed all outdoors, fishing, hunting, walking park trails, watching the Green Bay Packers.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Gretchen of Maquoketa; his children, Nick Wichtoski of Lowden, Laura Wichtoski of Kailua, Hawaii; stepdaughter Penny (Kevin) Land of Tomah, Wis.; grandchildren Zachary Wichtoski and Madison Wichtoski of DeWitt, Kyle Heike of Arizona, and Kelly (Danny) Snyder; great-grandson Heston of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers Alan (Lucy) Wichtoski of Florida and Chuck Wichtoski of Colorado; sister Judy Wichtoski of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Join our family as we celebrate and remember a great man and his special life on April 6 from 1-4 p.m. at the Long Grove Community Center, 114 N. 1st St., Long Grove, Iowa. Bob loved football and the Green Bay Packers. We’re going to keep it casual, so please dress in Bob’s favorite team colors or your team colors. Hope to see you there to share your favorite memories and honor an incredible man and his special life.
