The Celebration of Life was May 5, at Barrio’s Restaurant inside Deer Valley Airport Terminal. Burial was April 24, at Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix.

Joyce Marilyn (Keppy) Frick was born Jan. 23, 1931, in a blizzard on the family farm. While growing up in Scott County, Joyce was active in 4-H, played the accordion, and graduated from Davenport High School. She met Oliver Henry Frick shortly after high school and they were married on May 21, 1950.  Soon after, they had two girls, Charlene Ann and Lynette Kay. In February 1956, they moved to Phoenix for her health. Oliver worked for Arizona Public Service and Joyce was a housewife and loved taking care of her family. She volunteered at the school library, school main office and PTA.  Joyce was very proud of the accomplishments of her girls and was always there to help as they got older.  She was also very proud of her great-granddaughters for all their accomplishments in high school and college.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Ann Frick; grandchildren, John Reafleng and his wife Alex May, Harry Reafleng and his wife Sarah, and Michael Reafleng and his fiancée Abby; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Brianna Reafleng; and brother David Keppy and his wife Marci.

Along with her husband Oliver, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alta (Kay) Keppy; brother Donald Keppy; and her daughter Lynette Kay Frick.
