Janice Arlene Kroeger, age 91, of Eldridge, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Wheatland Manor in Wheatland. A private family graveside service was held in Durant Cemetery, Durant. The daughter of Normand and Gladys (Goettsch) Marten, Janice was born on July 30, 1931, in Hickory Grove Township, located in Scott County. Janice graduated from Davenport High School with the Class of 1949. She married Harold Kroeger on May 6, 1950, in Davenport. Harold passed away on Aug. 28, 2006, in Cresco, Iowa.
Janice was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She later worked for Bawden Printing in Eldridge, until retiring in 1993. In her spare time, Janice enjoyed gardening, playing cards and completing puzzles.
Janice will be dearly missed by her sons, Kent (Diane) Kroeger of Johnston, Steve (Sue) Kroeger of Eldridge, and Dean (Debra) Kroeger of Bartlett, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Lynn Kroeger of Eldridge; son-in-law, David Graham of Bristol, England; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Carol Marten of Eldridge.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; one son, Kevin Kroeger; her daughter, Susan Graham; a twin sister, Jean King; and a brother, Gerald Marten.
