The gymnasium at Alan Shepard Elementary was filled with famous people on April 20. Spanning the centuries between President Abraham Lincoln and Pakistani schoolgirl/activist Malala Yousafzai, dozens of important people in history were portrayed by second-graders at the Long Grove school. Parents and other family members were invited to view the “wax museum” figures come to life. NSP photos by Scott Campbell.
