Fun-loving, feisty, meticulous, and no stranger to hard work, Janet (Jan) Theresa Kluever, 88, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023, at University Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, Mo., with her husband, Allan Kluever, and her daughter, Jolene Kington, by her side. After a spirited, two-year battle with complications following a stroke, Jan finally succumbed to failing health. Until the day she died, she lived comfortably at home thanks to the loving care of her family, friends, and caregivers. more

Carol Ruth Coe, age 86, of Walcott, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 28, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Walcott.  A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, July 27, at the church.  Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Walcott Cemetery.
