Rex and Mary Jo McVey of Eldridge will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on May 24 in Davenport. Invitations will be sent.
Mary Jo Oetzmann and Rex McVey were married May 8, 1976, at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge.
Mr. McVey was employed as an auto body mechanic at Twin Bridges Mack, retiring in 20118.
Mrs. McVey was employed as a department secretary for Genesis Health System, retiring in 2020.
They are the parents of Jennilee (Michael) Silvis of Dubuque, Abbie (Robert) Gillespie of Davenport, and Jacob (Kendra) McVey of Eldridge.
Their grandchildren are Delaney Silvis, Easton Silvis, Breanna Silvis, Lucas McVey Gillespie, Wallace Gillespie, Cohen McVey, Lilah McVey and Nora McVey.
