Donna M. Ream, 85, of Calamus, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home. There will be no services or visitation. Chambers Funeral Home of Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Donna was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Davenport, the daughter of Norman Frances and Janice Bernice (Weber) Jacquin. She was united in marriage to Alan Leigh Ream on June 20, 1959, in Bettendorf. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2014. Donna had been a Realtor in Davenport for several years before she and Alan moved to Florida in 1984. She then worked for a hospital in Florida as a unit coordinator. Donna and Alan enjoyed traveling the United States. Donna cared for Alan following a stroke and devoted her time to caring for him for many loving years.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Anderson of Calamus; her sons, Barry (Becky) Ream of Cedar Rapids, and David Ream of Holiday, Fla.; her grandchildren, Alan Ream, Nathan Ream and Emily Calogero; her great-grandchildren, Riley Calogero and Anderson Calogero; her sister-in-law, Joan Jacquin of Lenexa, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Alan, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ronald Jacquin.
