Sandra Joan Paulsen, 81, of Durant, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at her home in Durant. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home, with a visitation held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial took place in the Durant Cemetery. Sandi was born at home on April 9, 1940, the daughter of Thomas and Violet (Dittmer) Wolf. She graduated from Davenport High School with the Class of 1958. Sandi was a homemaker who treasured taking care of her family. The greatest love of her life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandi liked playing dominoes, cards, and participated in various clubs. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and dancing.
Sandi will be dearly missed by three daughters, Shelley (Doug) Lincoln of Stockton, Darcy (Pat) Cowan of Ankeny, and Kayla (Jim) Ruter of Shannon, Ill.; one son, Bart (Linda) Paulsen of Stockton; 14 grandchildren, Tad (Marissa) Lincoln, Nate (Kelly) Lincoln, Joel Lincoln, Jana (Ben) Gauthier, Phillip (Nikki) Cowan, Gregory (Breanna) Cowan, Stephen Cowan, Kelli Paulsen, Katelyn (Aaron) Ellenberg, Kyle (Hannah) Paulsen, Kurt (Allison) Paulsen, Jared (Tamara) Ruter, Taylor (Drew) Carroll, and Clayton (fiancée Shaye) Ruter; 13 great-grandchildren, Harper, Rowan, Emmitt, Clay, Halle, Karson, Kennedy, Kynlie, Brody, Jace, Emma, Ella and Coe; and one brother, Dennis (Launa) Wolf of Walcott.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents.
