Carter J. Pacha, 17, of Long Grove, passed away tragically after a car accident on Aug. 2, 2023.  Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Friday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove.  Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 10, from 3-7 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carter’s name may be made to the church.  Casual attire is requested for the visitation and funeral.

Carter was born on March 2, 2006, in Davenport, to Heath and Christy Pacha.  He was just about to start his senior year and be a 2024 graduate of North Scott High School.  After high school, Carter wanted to join the work force and would have been happy working anywhere as long as he could work with his hands.  He worked at the I80 Truck Stop helping to wash trucks and recently started working at Bi-State with his dad as an apprentice. Carter was kind-hearted, hardworking, funny guy who loved everyone.  He loved to go hunting, fishing, listening to country music, spending time with friends and family, and most of all, his mullet.

Those left to honor Carter’s memory are his parents Heath and Christy; his sister Camille; maternal grandmother Ann Blondell; paternal grandparents Henry and Lora Pacha; his aunts and uncles, Kathy (Ed) Barkalow, Mike Blondell, Teresa Blondell, Wes (Heather) Pacha, Sarah (Demechico Spraggins) Pacha, and Amanda (Clint) Hardesty; along with many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Don Blondell.

The family would like to thank all of those who have reached out in support during this difficult time.
