Twelve volunteers joined eight Iowa DNR officers and Partners of Scott County Watershed members Feb, 12 to improve fish habitat at Crow Creek Lake. Workers cleared the shores of cedar trees, then anchored them with cinder blocks. When the foot-thick ices thaws, those trees will sink and create safe spaces for small fry.
