Officer Johnson receives Lifesaving Award

Eldridge police officer Erik Johnson is congratulated by mayor Scott Campbell during Monday's city council meeting. Johnson received a Lifesaving Award from the department pursuant to an incident he responded to on Jan. 15. During the call, an individual was reportedly unresponsive and not breathing. Upon arrival, Johnson assessed the situation and was able to stabilize the individual until emergency medical personnel arrived, helping to save a life.
