A funeral service for Shirley M. Kohnert, 85, of Calamus, was held at noon on Monday, June 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Mound. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Kohnert died Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Shirley Whiles was born April 18, 1936, in New Boston, Ill., the daughter of Wayne and Ethel (Halliburton) Whiles.
She married Lloyd Kohnert on Sept. 4, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Survivors include her children, Dave Kohnert and Cathy (Lynn) Schade; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
