Nancy was born on Feb. 23, 1937, in Davenport, to Gerald and Margaret (Fulton) Strohm. She was united in marriage to Doyle White on Aug. 29, 1959, in Davenport.

Serving Jesus, her family and others was her greatest joy in life.

Nancy met Doyle at Grandview Baptist Church, where they have been long time members. Nancy faithfully served in the church nursery for 55+ years. She loved mentoring and serving young moms. She served in many areas of the church, including deaconess and Hearts and Hands. She was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes, embroidered towels and baby blankets as gifts, American girl doll clothing, and her daughter’s wedding dress.  She excelled in bargain hunting and shared her treasures generously. She loved attending Bible studies, wedding and baby showers and any event where she could talk to people.  Working outdoors in the yard and tending her flower gardens were a beloved past time. Nancy cared for and loved her whole family. She enjoyed interacting with the young people in her life. Nancy and Doyle made it a priority to attend as many family and church events as possible.

Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Doyle; children, Roxanne (Paul) Wilson of Mexico, Jeanette White and Robert White, both of Davenport; grandchildren, Kerra (Josh) Abeln, Kyle (Tatiana) Wilson, Peter (Alaina) Wilson, Joelle (Jonny) Reckinger; great-grandchildren, James, Leah, Miles, and Violet; siblings, Margaret (Garry) Marsengill, Robert (Jan) Strohm, Lora (Jerry) Nigh, Jerry (Shirley) Strohm, and a host of nieces and nephews.
