Hills to mark 50 years of marriage with open house

Tony and Mary Hill of Bellevue, formerly of Eldridge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Nov. 22. All family and friends are welcome to join them from 2-5 p.m. at the Long Grove Community Center. No gifts, please.

Mary Pedersen and Tony Hill were married Nov. 22, 1975, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Ogallala, Neb.

Mr. Hill retired from Schwan’s Sale Ent. in 2001. He later worked for Simplex Grinnell until 2013 and retired from CEC in 2016.

Mrs. Hill was employed at Midwest Egg Producers. She retired from Culver’s as a bookkeeper for five restaurants in 2017.

They are the parents of Kari (Jason) Shannon of Eldridge, Vince (Abby) Hill of Eldridge, and Katie (Josh) Pesek of Fairfax.

Their grandchildren are Mayson (Rylyn) Shannon, Ashlynn (Brady) Ernst, Delaney and Chase Hill, and Kyler and Aubrynn Pesek. They recently welcomed their first great-grandson, Bennett.

A family trip is also planned for a later date.
