As has become tradition, North Scott's seniors fanned out across the district Friday, returning to their elementary schools. The elementary students line the halls to congratulate the seniors, dressed in their caps and gowns. At Neil Armstrong, seniors commented they barely recognized the school, which has undergone expansion over the last few years. more
North Scott students once again displayed their talents at the Iowa High School Music Association Small Group and Ensemble Contest, held April 18 at Pleasant Valley High School. Forty-five students performed for the judges. more
Donahue American Legion Post 532 Auxiliary has awarded two merit awards to graduating seniors in the amount of $250 each. more
As the North Scott Class of 2026 takes the stage to receive their diplomas on May 24, they will be led by 39 students who have been named Summa Cum Laude, having excelled academically during their four years of high school. Summa Cum Laude designation is given to students who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher during their high school careers. Graduation speakers will be Charlotte Madden, Marlayna Cockshoot, Behren Radech and Nate Kramer. more

Elmer “Happy” and Evelyn Schlunsen gave an incredible legacy to the North Scott Educational Foundation. What began as a gift of $20,000 in stock to the Foundation in 2006, grew exponentially over the years and eventually culminated in a bequest of more than $1.9 million following Evelyn’s death. This year, the Foundation was able to present an additional $40,000 in scholarships to North Scott seniors, ensuring that every student who submitted a completed application received an award. more
