Emily Kundel of Davenport and Nick Upmeyer of Eldridge were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2023, at Olathea Creek Vineyard and Winery, LeClaire. Chris Sindt officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by Riley Sindt.
Brenna Kundel served as maid of honor. Isabel Schoaf, Brielle Ficzeri, and Camille Ficzeri were bridesmaids, and Kennedy Arthur was the flower girl.
Kyle Jecks served as best man. Hunter Frerichs and Alex Upmeyer were groomsmen, and Bennett Arthur was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rolling Meadows Event Center, Eldridge.
Emily is the daughter of Kevin and Greta Kundel of Davenport, and the granddaughter of Sharon Kundel and Janean Johnson. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2023 and is employed as a renewable energy engineer at MidAmerican Energy Company.
Nick is the son of Carl and Rhonda Upmeyer of Eldridge, and the grandson of Lester and Cathy Hoyer. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2023 and is employed as an integration engineer at PCT Ebeam and Integration.
Following a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple resides in Bettendorf.
