Patricia M. Nelson, age 89, of Muscatine, Iowa, died Friday, May 3, 2024 at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty.
A visitation was held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial took place in Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Pat was born on June 3, 1934, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Albaugh) Beinke. She married Frank E. Nelson on Dec. 22, 1955, in Wilton. She was a member of Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church. Pat enjoyed watching wildlife, sewing, crocheting and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Pat is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Gregory Nelson of Muscatine and his children: Cory and Cody Nelson, Allen and Brenda Nelson of North Liberty and their children: Brad Nelson, Tiffany (Alan) Kellogg, Alex and Matt Nelson and Jarad (Kayla) Kraft, Neal and Judi Nelson of Fruitland and their children: Jenni (John) Gales and Austin Nelson, and Mark Nelson of Bettendorf and his children: Hannah and Ava Nelson; 7 great grandchildren: Lydia, Laila, Carter, Eli, Leo, Harper and Cali; sisters, Kay Busher and Jeanine Murdock, both of Wilton; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank in 2020; and her sister, Fontelle Mullink in 2008.
