Pamela Ann Moeller, 71

Pamela Ann Moeller, age 71, of Durant, died on Jan. 5, 2024, after a very brave and difficult battle with cancer.

Pam was born on March 31, 1952, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Marvin and Jeannie (Easton) Roush. She attended the University of Iowa, where she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education, and she later earned an Early Childhood Education Endorsement from Iowa Wesleyan College.

Pam taught at elementary schools in Wilton and Muscatine for 28 years and went on to be a nanny for several families in Eastern Iowa before she retired. Pam married James Peter Moeller on June 16, 1979, and they had their daughter, Jamie Lynn Moeller, in 1982.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Pam was a caring and compassionate teacher, mentor, and friend to many over the years. She was ever the optimist, despite having endured many tough experiences and chronic pain throughout her life.

She had a strong faith, giving spirit, and always helped those in need.

She loved dogs and adored the ones that she had. Some of her other favorite pastimes included painting, putting together beautiful puzzles, attending Bible study group, watching TV series and movies, as well as shopping at estate sales, thrift stores, and craft fairs.

Pam is survived by her loving husband James Moeller; daughter, Jamie Lynn Moeller; sister, Dawn Dipple; and brother, Michael Roush. She will be greatly missed by all. Pam is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Roush, and mother, Jeannie Roush, as well as her sisters Sharlene Brown, Linda Bennett, and Carole Schmelzer, and by her brothers Rocky Roush, Raymond Roush, and Bruce Roush.

A gathering of family and friends to remember and honor Pam will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at https://everloved.com/life-of/pamela-moeller/ to assist with medical bills and allow the family to give any remaining money to organizations who work on causes that were important to Pam.
