Schnoors to celebrate 50th anniversary with Sept. 30 open house

Ken and Connie Schnoor of Long Grove will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 30. An open house will be held from noon-5 p.m. at the Long Grove Civic Center.

Ken Schnoor and Connie Howsen were married Nov. 4, 1967, at the Low Moor (Iowa) Methodist Church.

Connie worked for Theisen’s in DeWitt as an office administrator, and retired from Ennis Business Forms in 2014. Ken was the parts and service manager at D&D Chevrolet in DeWitt, and retired from River Valley Co-op.

They have four children: Richard (Kathleen) Schnoor of DeWitt, Michael (Candace) Schnoor of Bettendorf, Adam (Kim) Schnoor of Long Grove, and Amy (Nathan) Nissen of Eldridge.

They have 12 grandchildren: Jacob, Allyson and Justin Schnoor, Oliver and Matilda Schnoor, Lindsay (Ryan) Minch, Cheyenne Baker, Dylan Schnoor, Kolten Cox, and Kailie Schnoor, and Hunter and Peyton Nissen. They have three great-grandchildren.
