Raymond “Ray” and Sherrill “Sherry” Peters of Park View will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a road trip to St. Louis, Arizona, Las Vegas and South Dakota.
Sherry Lodmell and Ray Peters were married Sept. 8, 1973, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Ray was employed at Alcoa, retiring in 2008, and the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 2019. He is currently employed at Napa in DeWitt. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1973-1978.
Sherry was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2021.
They are the parents of Joshua (Kitti) Peters, of Panama City, Fla., Eric Peters of Stafford, Va., and Miranda (Tom) Petersen of Davenport.
Their grandchildren are Brenden Peters, Allie Peters, Hannah Peters, Makayla Peters, Devin Peters, Malia Peters, Kayleigh Petersen, Addison Petersen, and William Petersen. They have five great-grandchildren.
