A memorial service for Minnie Meeker, 88, of Eldridge, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation was Thursday, May 10, from 4-7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
Mrs. Meeker died Monday, May 7, 2018, at Grand Haven Retirement Community, Eldridge.
Minnie Phelps was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Brownwood, Mo., the daughter of Fred and Violet (Black) Phelps.
She married Richard Meeker on Feb. 6, 1949. He died in 2005.
She retired from Lou Marge’s in 1981.
Her hobbies were flower gardening and painting.
Survivors include her sons, Rick (Patsey) Meeker, Davenport, Rob (Marcie) Meeker, Bettendorf, Dan Meeker, Eldridge, and Mark (Peggy) Meeker, Blue Grass; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Pauline Schwarz, Naples, Fla., and Patsy Puchbauer, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
