Obituary: Lori Carlson

A celebration of life service for Lori Carlson, 61, of Bettendorf, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-4 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Elvira Cemetery at a later date.

Miss Carlson died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Lori Carlson was born June 3, 1957, in DeWitt, the daughter of William and DeLores (Stoefen) Carlson. She graduated from DeWitt High School and Clinton Community College, and later earned her nursing degree from Marycrest College.

She was a career nurse for over 40 years, and she worked as a candy striper at Jane Lamb Hospital, Genesis East Campus, Visiting Nurses, and lastly at the Genesis Wound Clinic.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her father, William Carlson, Eldridge; her siblings, Debbie (Mike) McGregory and Craig (Julie) Carlson, all of Eldridge; her nieces, Jenny (Dave) Bayles, Melissa (Tim) Von Muenster, and Katie Carlson; a nephew, Ben Carlson; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the family to be dispersed over several charities.
