A funeral service for Kay F. Benson, 74, of LeClaire, was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Visitation was Thursday, July 27, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Benson died Monday, July 24, 2017, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Bettendorf.
Kay Veatch was born June 7, 1943, in Davenport, the daughter of Glen and Lorene (Auliff) Veatch.
She married Gary Benson on May 30, 1965, at Our Savior Presbyterian Church, Argo.
Mrs. Benson worked with Review Printing, Rock Island, in earlier years.
She was a lifelong member of Our Savior Presbyterian Church, Argo.
Survivors include her husband; her sons, Robert and David Benson, both of LeClaire; her mother, Lorene Veatch, LeClaire; a sister, Gail (Ernest) Brooks, Prophetstown, Ill.; and a brother, Richard (Susie) Veatch, Granby, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Veatch, and a brother, Glen Veatch, Jr.
