A Celebration of Life service for John R. “Jack” Smith, 80, of Davenport, will be held from noon – 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Kavanaugh’s Hilltop Bar and Grill, 1228 30th St., Rock Island. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Smith died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
John Smith was born March 21, 1938, in Rock Island, the son of Emmett and Inest Smith.
He married JoAnn Osborne in 1967 in Bettendorf. She died in 1981.
He worked at Floor Crafters for many years.
His hobbies were doing yard work, spending time outdoors, and golfing.
Survivors include a daughter, Renee Smith, Columbia, Mo.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margie, Joy, and Rosemary; and two brothers, Patrick and Joseph.
