A funeral service for Gayle Lynne Shook, 69, of LeClaire, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Ms. Shook died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at her home.
Gayle Preston was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Davenport, the daughter of Gerald and Thelma Preston.
She worked as a nurse in the healthcare industry for over 40 years.
Her hobbies were gardening, knitting, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Samantha), Patrick (Rhonda), Richard (Stephanie), and Daryl (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Jaron, Mylie, Dyllin, Kayla, Blake, Brady, Koata, Kaiden, Kaylee, Hailey, Harper, Hanna, Hadley, and Kyden; and her sisters, Joyce Stein and Janet (Dennis) King.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kelly; and a brother-in-law, Ron Stein.
