A funeral service for Francis W. “Bill” Buchheit, 91, a resident of the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf, formerly of LeClaire, was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire.
Mr. Buchheit died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023.
Francis Buchheit was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Davenport, the son of Francis and Violet (Smith) Buchheit.
He married Loretta J. Thompson on July 22, 1950, in Davenport.
Survivors include his children, Elizabeth (Joe) Ackerman, LeClaire, and Lisa (Steve) Williams, Eldridge; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
