A funeral service for Donald James Moran, 80, of Davenport, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (today) at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park, where military rites will be conducted.
Mr. Moran died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Donald Moran was born Aug. 29, 1943, in Davenport, the son of James and Helen (Kirby) Moran.
Survivors include his sisters, Mary Reiter, Davenport, and Blanche Parks, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and a stepson, Daryll Long, Pensacola, Fla.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
