Dale A. Otto, 83, formerly of Walcott, now Bettendorf, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Bettendorf Health Care. Cremation rites will be accorded, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in his name to the Davenport Elks and please share condolences at www.rungemortuary.com.
Dale was born March 1, 1940, in Davenport, to Arthur and Bernice (Siems) Otto. He was united in marriage to Gilberte “Jill” Otto in August 1972 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2008.
Dale started out farming with his father in the Walcott area. Later in life he became a retail salesperson with Sears in Davenport and enjoyed selling Watkins products for many years. Dale was a member of the Davenport Elks, enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling, golfing, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid New York Yankee and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Survivors include children Lynet, Tammy, Jeff, Mark, Chuck (Mary), Peggy, and Dan; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene.
