Hilda Bluedorn to note 100th birthday with reception

Hilda Bluedorn, formerly of Walcott, will be honored with a cake reception Sunday, Oct. 15, to celebrate her 100th birthday. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. at the Internet Café, Manor Care, Utica Ridge Road, Davenport.

Hilda Bruhn was born Oct. 17, 1917, to Adolph and Agnes (Huettmann) Bruhn in Cedar County. She was united in marriage to Arthur Bluedorn in 1939. Together they farmed in Plainview. He preceded her in death in 1965. Hilda later moved to Maysville and then to the Courtyard Estates, Walcott.
