Recall 1979: You think it was cold here now?

With so many Iowans either living in rural areas or working in the agricultural industry, it should come as no surprise that we like to talk about the weather. Talk to any farmer in the state and the subject is bound to come up at some point. And inevitably, we start talking about the worst weather that we’ve ever experienced. For many Iowans in recent history, that might just be the January of 1979.
