This Sunday will be North Scott Junior High’s turn to bring a children’s classic to the stage, as students present the annual musical, “A Year With Frog and Toad.”
There will be one public performance on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. in the North Scott Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $5 per person and are available at the door.
Based on the “Frog and Toad” stories by Arnold Lobell, the musical follows a year in the life of amphibious friends, worrywart Toad and perky Frog, and the woodland creatures that surround them.
The show is directed by English and language arts teacher Mykah Peterson.
“It’s been great working with the kids,” she said. “They’re so talented and have worked so hard. It takes a lot of guts to get on stage, and I’m proud of every single one of them, no matter their part. I’m excited for everyone to finally get to see all of their work pay off!”
The cast includes: Lilly Archer, Bella Burkle, Hayley Burkle, Annika Carmichael, Mason Carter, Aurora Dolan, Michael Hames, Arabella Miller, Sam Mussack, Sophia Nelson, Alliana Ray, Ally Sosnowski, Zach Wiese, Addyson Wilson, and Addyson Yanke.
The crew includes: Marley Ayers, Olive Budde, Kelsey Clayton, Ana Garcia, Ciera Goemaat, Anna Jones, Abby Leonard, Taylor Murphy, Bella Riley, Elizabeth Schwener, Chloe Sosnowski, Kora Thiessen, and Olivia Uhlenkamp.
The show is directed by Mykah Peterson, with musical direction by Paul Skyles and creative and artistic direction by Chris Baguss. Accompanist is Terri Wittkowski.
