Jimmie L. Hull, age 76, of Moscow, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, at his home. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa City Hospice. Jimmie was born in Iowa City on Aug. 12, 1948, to Clarence and Hazel (Wheeler) Hull. Jim spent his life dedicated to his family and his craft as a self-employed carpenter. On Oct. 17, 1970, he married the love of his life, Cindy S. Meier, with whom he shared many beautiful years.
Jim had a deep love for the outdoors, finding enjoyment in camping, fishing, and hunting. In his earlier years, he was an avid bowler. However, what brought him the most joy was the time spent with his family. Jim’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 53 years, Cindy; and their sons, Tim (Dawn) Hull of Muscatine, and Jamie (Holly) Hull of Wilton; four grandchildren, Cody, Jackson, Courtney and Carter; sisters, Kandy Drollinger and Annie Hull, both of Iowa City; brothers, Ron Hull of Texas, Don Hull of Iowa City, and Joe Meier of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Viola Hull; sister, Margaret Alcayde; and brother, Wayne Hull.
