Koy Snider wins first AN football contest

This year’s Football Contest is off and running!

Koy Snider was the only contestant to miss two and will take the $30 first prize. No one missed three. Cindy Austin missed three, with a tiebreaker of 42 (closest to the total number of points in Iowa State’s 20-19 win over Iowa) and receives the $20 second prize. Ken Bland also missed four, with a tiebreaker of 27, to take the $15 third prize.

There were 11 entries.

Game winners include Wilton over West Liberty 36-7; Durant over Columbus Catholic 12-7; Dyersville Beckman over Monticello 21-0; Iowa City Regina over Mid-Prairie 28-17; Northeast over Central DeWitt 44-8; Texas over Michigan 31-12; Iowa State over Iowa 20-19; Michigan State over Maryland 27-24; Illinois over Kansas 23-17; Nebraska over Colorado 28-10; UNI over St. Thomas – Minnesota 42-16; and Washington State over Texas Tech 37-16.
