Kenneth Conover
Kenneth Robert Conover, 82, of Wilton, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Wilton Retirement Community in Wilton. Private family graveside services will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton at a later date.
Kenneth was born in Muscatine County on Dec. 24, 1941, to Jesse and Grace (Plowman) Conover.
After graduating from Pattonsburg (Missouri) High School, Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. He married Doris A. Coder on July 4, 1965, in Wilton and they had two daughters: Brenda Elaine and Rebecca Lyn.
Ken was adept at farm work. He retired from HON Industries in 1992 after over 25 years of service. He also was a Wilton police officer for many years.
He was a member of the Wilton American Legion Post #584. Ken enjoyed fishing, country music, traveling and cars and trains.
Ken is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Doris; daughter Brenda (Mark) Lewis of Brimfield, Ohio; and granddaughter Rhiannon Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Rebecca Lyn Conover; sisters Wilma Jean Conover and Carolyn Kay Mann; and brothers Marvin Sidney Conover and Ray Allen Conover.
