Victor Grover Hansen, age 61, of Wilton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.
Vic was born in Davenport on June 7, 1965, the son of the Virgil and Diane (McFadden) Hansen. He graduated from Davenport West High School and served his country in the United States Army. Following his time in the service, Vic’s journey took him to Nebraska, where he met the mother of his children. He later moved to Virginia and eventually made his way to Florida, seeking a fresh start. In 1997, Victor returned home to Iowa.
Vic worked for HWH in Moscow for 10 years in the shipping department. He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and spending time with the people who mattered most to him. He enjoyed playing video slot machines on his phone and could be found playing Cribbage or Texas Hold’em with his friends.
Family was especially important to Vic. One of his favorite traditions was spending every Saturday doing laundry with his sister, Ginny. What may have seemed like an ordinary Saturday routine was, to them, simply another opportunity to spend time together. They also shared every holiday together, creating memories that their family will forever cherish. Vic will be remembered for the life he lived, the places his journey took him, the friend-ships he made along the way, and most importantly, the love he shared.
Vic will be remembered by his four sons, Charles Martin, Alexander Hansen, Victor Hansen, Jr., and Jory James Hansen; one sister, Ginny Bodden of Walcott; one niece, Cory Lynn Gradwell of Donahue; and two great nephews, Hunter and Charlie Weaver of Donahue.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Vernon Hansen; and his “adopted parents,” Leroy and Mardelle Wulf.
