Obituary: Marjorie LeDoux

Marjorie Eileen LeDoux, age 76, of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  A celebration of life will be held from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Walcott American Legion.  Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.

Marjorie was born in Davenport on Aug. 16, 1947, the daughter of Stephen and Helen (Woehrle) Garlock.  She graduated from Davenport Central High School with the Class of 1965.   She married Richard Boetger in 1966.  Marjorie later married Raymond LeDoux on Dec. 3, 1980, in Blue Grass.  Raymond passed away on May 21, 2000.

Marjorie managed the Casey’s in Walcott for 10 years.  She most recently worked for the Von Maur Distribution Center in Davenport, until retiring. She was a longtime member of the Walcott American Legion Auxiliary.  Marjorie enjoyed reading and loved day trips with her sisters, their group was lovingly known as the “Aunt Hill.” Most of all, Marjorie treasured spending time with her family.

Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Deb (Scott) Spengler-Vanier of Eldridge, Terri (Henry Millsap) Boetger of Durant, and Jim Boetger of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Kiley (Matt) VanSloten, Kale (Calli) Spengler, Josh (Jen) Wulf, Nathan Wulf, Ashley Wulf, Nolan (Nona Hildebrant) Boetger and Abbie Boetger; seven great-grandchildren, Paislee, Chris, Isabel, Alex, Liam, Maxwell and Maverick; four sisters, Betty Olsen-Cozad, Barb Wendt, Mary (Richard) Golinghorst and Linda Garlock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marjorie was preceded in death by husband, Raymond; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Ruth Garlock, Bill and Delores Garlock and Dick and Virginia Garlock; one sister, Deloris Olsen; and three brothers-in-law, Otto Olsen, Ken Wendt and Bert Cozad.
