Marian L. Kent, age 105, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at Overlook Village, Moline. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Memorials may be made to Overlook Village, which will be donated to their Employee Christmas Fund, or the First Presbyterian Church of Wilton. Marian was born on March 17, 1920, the daughter of Harry and Alvena (Harder) Einfeldt. She graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1937. Marian was united in marriage to Harvey Kent on Oct. 12, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nev. Harvey passed away on Nov. 2, 2006. Marian was blessed to live in her own home for 101 years.
For 38 years, Marian worked as a time-keeper for International Harvester, East Moline Works, retiring in 1981. Marian was deeply involved in her community throughout her life. She was a devoted 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Purity Chapter in Wilton. She was also a proud member of the Harvester Re-tirees and the Red Hat Society.
Service to others was central to Marian’s life. She volunteered at Trinity Medical Center for 22 years, generously giving her time and talents. Among her many contri-butions, she lovingly knitted countless baby caps for newborns at the hospital. Though Marian never had children of her own, family meant everything to her. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart. Marian will be remembered for her kindness, love for laughter and the many lives she touched over her 105 years.
Marian will be lovingly remembered by her family, Marilyn Ballenger, Harry Dean Einfeldt, Deanna (Ed) Sellers, Monica (Brooks) Palar, David (Theresa) Einfeldt, Cindy (Steve) Young, Jim (Wanda) Einfeldt, Rita (Mark) Mays, Mary Einfeldt, Jeannine (Joel) Meincke and Chuck (Karen) Einfeldt; her sister-in-law, Eva Einfeldt; many great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Jack Carey.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Alvena; her husband, Harvey; sister, Evelyn Johnson; four brothers, Harry, Leo, Wayne, and Robert Einfeldt; and five nephews, Lyle Johnson, Mike and Denny Einfeldt, and Robert Jr. and William Einfeldt.
