William Earl Laucamp

William Earl Laucamp passed away from an extended illness on March 31, 2025 in Rolla, Mo.  Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at Oakdale cemetery at a later date with a luncheon to follow.

Bill was born to Peter and Elizabeth Laucamp on July 17, 1935.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from HJ Heinz. Bill was a member and Elder of Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church. 

Bill was first married to Judith (Mc Clean) Hemmen and had three children, Cindy (Skeet) Smith, Sarah (Bart) Proctor and Billy (Triscia) Laucamp.  He later married Mary (Smith) Gute and together they had Amanda (Jay) Cassidy and welcomed and loved Mary’s children Kevin (Vicky) Gute, Teresa (Steve) Salyars and Rebecca (Ray Jr.) Brisker as his own. Through this blended family he was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren

All who knew Bill will remember his friendly smile, orneriness and kind heart. He loved having coffee at Valets with the guys and when in Missouri he loved having coffee at Midway coffee shop.

He enjoyed driving around with the radio blaring and helping his nephew Bobby in the field. He loved to sit outside and watch the wildlife while sometimes tempting them to come closer with little treats. His favorite thing was watching his grandkids sporting and stock car events. Above all he loved his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his son Billy, his parents and his siblings, Ida Mae Kroeger, Lois Conway, Clarice Glenney, Florence Cooling and Robert (Bob) Laucamp.
