Melanie and Leroy Van Roekel will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary June 12, and plan to celebrate with family.
Melanie Klein and Leroy Van Roekel were married June 12, 1971 at the United Church of Christ in Clarence.
Mr. Van Roekel was employed by HWH Corporation of Moscow, retiring in 2013. Mrs. Van Roekel was employed by New Neighbors, retiring in 2016.
The Van Roekels are parents of Jason (Kim) Van Roekel of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mark (Kelsie) Van Roekel of Lawrence, Kansas. They have three grandchildren: Nikolas and Ivan of Indianapolis, Indiana and Hazel of Lawrence, Kansas.
