Venita E. Rorick, 96, of Tipton, Iowa, formerly of Bennett, Iowa, died on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Prairie Hills Assisted Living, Tipton. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 16 at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17 at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.

Venita was born in Stanwood, Iowa on Sept. 24, 1924, the daughter of Albert and Karoline “Lena” (Meyer) Ehlers. She married Ralph W. Rorick on Dec. 12, 1953 in Bennett. Ralph died on June 19, 2003.
Venita was a homemaker who treasured caring for her family. She loved living on their farm, gardening and cooking for her family. In 2013, Venita moved to Prairie Hills Assisted Living, Tipton. She was an active member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett. She also enjoyed dancing, and was a member of the Bennett Flower Club, Polka Club of Iowa: Eastern Chapter and Women of the Moose, Muscatine. Most of all, Venita cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Venita will be dearly missed by two daughters, Kathryn (Bruce) Kroeger of Bennett and Karen (Kim) Stiff of Tipton; two grandsons, Cody Stiff of Tipton and Jeffrey Stiff of Marion; one sister, Jeanette Matthews of Jacksonville, Florida; and one brother, Merlin (Gwen) Ehlers of Sturgis, South Dakota.
She is met at heaven’s gate by her husband; infant sister, Shirley; three brothers, Art, Bobby and Kenny Ehlers; and one brother-in-law, Sam Matthews.
