Nadine J. Lafrenz, 91, of Tipton, formerly of Bennett, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Private family funeral services were held on April 17 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Pastor Scott Meyer officiated.

Nadine was born on Feb. 28, 1930 in Davenport, Iowa. She was the daughter of Chris and Olga McQuillen Schneckloth. Nadine attended Bennett School and after the school fire, she graduated from Tipton High School in 1947.

On Nov. 24, 1950, Nadine was united in marriage to Leroy Henry Lafrenz in Tipton. Together they farmed east of Bennett. Nadine was a homemaker, farmer, 4-H Leader, seamstress and was known as the “egg lady.” She was a member of the Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, the Bennett American Legion Auxiliary Unit 104, and the 4-H.

Nadine is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Meyer and LuAnn (Dennis Kuysten) Lafrenz; daughter-in-law, Karen Lafrenz, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Olga Schneckloth; husband, Leroy Lafrenz; son, Randy Lafrenz and brothers, Leo and Edward Schneckloth.
