Allan “Al” Eugene Lacock, 85, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at the Washington Regional Hospice Home.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale, Arkansas at a later date.

Al was born Dec. 30, 1935 in Springville, Iowa to Willard and Margaret Lacock. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps., and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA degree, and the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in Milwaukee.

Allan and Cheri (Fratzke) were married at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Durant in 1975.

Funeral service was always Al’s passion. He purchased Lacock Funeral Homes in Durant and Wilton. Al and his wife Cheri served families there until their retirement in 1993.

Allan loved his family, and Bella. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, traveling, reading, boating, camping, sunsets, and watching Cheri walk on the beach. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Al was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ann Walton and Kay Davies; and a nephew, Dewayne Walton.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Cheri; three stepsons and four step grandchildren, Darin Fratzke and daughter Emma of Arnolds Park, Iowa, Dan Fratzke and wife Connie, and sons Nathan and Jacob of Durant, and David Fratzke and son Joshua of Wilton.
