Kim was a Hair Stylist in Davenport for many years, served as Head Chef at the Shelter House in Iowa City, and worked in the after-school program at Durant Community Schools. In her recent years, Kim was the caretaker for her mother, Dorothy. Kim enjoyed listening to music, antiquing, and day trips. Most of all, Kim loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Kim will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Hallie (Fred) Hansell of Durant and Hattie (Collin) Gillaspie of Davenport; five grandchildren, Kaetlyn, Freddy, Rowan, Renleigh and Lakelyn; and one grandson on the way in May; her mother, Dorothy of Davenport; one sister, Angie (Joe) McDonough of Davenport; two nephews, Trenton and Trey McDonough; her partner, Steve Bobbitt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her dad, Wayne; and one brother, Tim Blumer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aubri with St. Croix Hospice for the loving care she provided.
