John remained active, working as a quick lube specialist at Krieger Motors and later running parts and shuttling for Toyota of Muscatine. John’s commitment to serving his community was exemplified through his 25 years with the Durant Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a past chief and secretary-treasurer. A charter member of the Wahkonsa Country Club in Durant, John had a passion for golf and cherished spending time with his golf buddies at Muni Golf Course, Muscatine.
