Don Steffen turns 90!

Don Steffen of Wilton will be honored with an open house for his 90th Birthday on 2-5 p.m., May 1, at the Wilton community room, 100 E. 4th Street. The public is invited. No gifts, please.

Steffen was born May 5, 1932 in Center Township. He married Shirley Smith on October 27, 1956, in Wilton.

They have three children: Tami (Stan) Sawvell, Wilton; Terri (Keith) Stanley, Wilton; and Tracy (Brian) Krebs, Durant.

Grandchildren are Brad and Reagan Porter, Ross and Jamie Wagaman, Riley and Emily Wagaman, Derek Sawvell, Hayley and Jordan Brauns, and Rachel Krebs.

They have six great grandchildren.

Steffen worked for the Wilton Community School District from 1957 to 1995, performing bus maintenance. He also owned Steffen Texaco Station. He retired in 1995.

Steffen is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He enjoys woodworking, wintering in Arizona, playing Aggravation and cards with friends, and spending time with friends and family.
