Wilton senior Colby Sawvell recently traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama and Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium to play in the DREAM All-American Bowl, a football all-star game series which is held at the Regional and National levels.
The all-star game series is highlighted by the DREAM All-American Bowl Game, sponsored by Recruit Nation and Dream Scouting Network. An athlete must attend a local Recruit nation Elite Showcase. The Recruit Nation Staff and Dream Scouting Network Scouts select the Top Elite Performers from this showcase. Colby was selected, and played in the game held Jan. 18, and had practices on Jan. 16 and 17 prior to. In the game, there were two offensive teams rotating. Colby started at wide receiver, but also played as a slot receiver. He was on the kick return team and fielded two kicks. He caught one pass for 22 yards and returned two kicks for 37 yards.
