Commander Roger Bender called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. with nine members present. The group recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting minutes from September were read and approved. Gordon Arnold gave the financial report.

We received a donation from the Wilton Fire Department for the use of the Legion Hall while the Steam Train was in town. Reminder that the Legion rib dinner is on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 4-6 p.m. Please come to help as you are able. Ticket pre-sales have been finalized.

A motion carried to pay Roger for mowing the lawn this past year. We received a U.S. flag that was flown in Iraq and Syria during combat time this year, the flag and a certificate will be displayed in the hall.

We will start coordinating with the High School for Boys State next year. We are planning to have a potluck for Veterans Day on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. for Wilton Legion and Auxiliary members and family.
