Mike and Tammy Zimmer of DeWitt will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7.
Tammy Simkins and Mike Zimmer were married Aug. 7, 1982, at Olde St. Ann’s Church, Long Grove.
Mr. Zimmer is employed as director of secondary education for the Pleasant Valley Community School District, having previously served as principal.
Mrs. Zimmer retired from the United States Postal Service in December of 2019.
They are the parents of Erin and Thor Zimmer-Borger of Burnsville, Minn., Katharine and David Mulfinger of Eldridge, Jessica and Kyle Mente of Bettendorf, Adrienne and Josh Klein of Lake Mills, Wis., and David Zimmer of McFarland, Wis.
Their grandchildren are Levi Zimmer-Nielsen and Lena Zimmer-Borger, Gus and Clark Mulfinger, Evie, Hayden and Oliver Mente, and Leopold and Gianna Klein.
